Bring Izana to one cohort. Measure it against your own baseline.
Izana is a clinically governed companion that supports your couples at home, between visits, and shows your team who is ready and who needs a call. This pilot puts that to the test in your clinic, alongside standard care, with nothing changed in your pathway.
The problem worth fixing
Most lost cycles are not lost in the lab. Couples spend almost their whole cycle at home, where the clinic cannot see them, and roughly one in two do not complete the cycles you recommend, most often from burden, rarely from biology. Better retention is the last large lever on your cumulative success rate.
1 in 2 do not complete recommended cycles (Shen et al., 2023) · under 5% of the journey is inside the clinic (Wu et al., 2013) · 51 to 72% cumulative live birth, the gap is discontinuation (Malizia, NEJM 2009)
What Izana does
- Supports each couple at home with a daily plan built to your protocol and reviewed by a clinical dietician.
- Rolls their daily inputs into three simple signals per couple: readiness, wellbeing, and partner.
- Surfaces trends and flags to your team in a cohort dashboard, never raw logs or private messages.
- Routes anything clinical back to your team. Izana never diagnoses, prescribes, or changes care.
What the pilot measures
One cohort of 20 couples over 90 days, run alongside standard care, compared against your prior numbers:
- Continuation: how many couples complete the cycles they start, versus your baseline.
- Burden: the patient-reported load that drives drop-out.
- Partner engagement: the male side, tracked properly for the first time.
- Feasibility: how the dashboard and onboarding fit your team’s real workflow.
What your clinic provides
- One cohort of couples in preparation, onboarded by a simple clinic code.
- A few minutes of dashboard review when convenient. No change to your clinical pathway.
- Your prior continuation numbers as the baseline to measure against.
Privacy and governance
Your team sees three derived signals and flags, never private chat or raw logs. The score is the artefact; the privacy is the principle. Izana works to your protocol, routes through your team, and pauses when you pause. The clinical authority is yours.
Timeline
- Week 0: a 20-minute call, scope the cohort, agree the baseline, set up your clinic code.
- Weeks 1 to 12: couples use Izana at home; your team reviews the dashboard.
- Week 13: a shared read-out of continuation, burden, partner engagement and feasibility versus your baseline.
The evidence and the team
A less burdensome experience roughly halved drop-out in a prospective cohort, and supporting couples at home is associated with markedly higher repeat-cycle completion. Izana’s science is reviewed by reproductive specialists and a clinical dietician, the same team behind every plan your patients receive.
