Who we are
Izana is a daily companion for couples going through fertility treatment, working alongside their fertility clinic. Izana is operated by Izana, a company registered in Spain, with offices in India. For privacy matters, contact us at privacy@izana.ai.
Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email, and the fertility clinic treating you.
- Health & lifestyle inputs: what you log: meals, supplements, sleep, mood, weight, and similar daily check-ins.
- Clinical context: your treatment stage and clinic protocol, where your clinic shares it to personalise your plan.
- Device & wearable data: if you connect a wearable, metrics such as sleep and heart-rate variability.
- Usage data: how you interact with the app, to keep it working and improve it.
How we use your information
- To build and update your personalised daily plan and your Izana score.
- To answer your questions in the app, grounded in your own data.
- To share progress signals with your clinic so your care can be more personal (see below).
- To keep Izana safe, secure, and working, and to improve it over time.
What your clinic sees
Your clinic sees your three readiness signals, trends, and flags, never your private chat messages or raw daily logs. The score is the artefact; your privacy is the principle. We never sell your data, and we never use it for advertising.
How we share information
We share information only: with your fertility clinic as described above; with trusted service providers who help us run Izana under strict confidentiality; with a clinical dietician or reviewer who checks plans for safety; and where required by law. We do not sell personal data.
Data security & retention
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information and keep it only for as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email privacy@izana.ai and we'll respond within the timelines the law requires.
Children
Izana is intended for adults undergoing fertility treatment and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Izana evolves. We'll post the new version here with a revised date, and notify you of material changes.
